Habang sinusulit ko uli ang pag-fe-facebook, nakita ko sa aking news feed ang mga larawan ng aking nakababatang kapatid na babae. Tinignan ko ang kanyang profile. Grabe, ang bilis ng panahon! Parang kelan lang ang liit-liit pa niya tapos lagi kong hawak-hawak mga kamay niya. Paminsan pa ng binubuhat ko siya sa mga parks. Feeling ko talaga anak ko siya. *exit drama mode*

Na-amaze lang ako sa buhay teenager ng aking mga nakababatang kapatid. Parehong pareho sila nun sumunod sa akin. Partners in crime nga yung dalawa. Magkasama sa pictures, kung makapag pose- WAGAS! Akala mo mga model ng patis. Peace!

Magka-clan din sila at damayan sa pagtatakip ng butas ng pagkakamali ng isa. Haha. Mas magkakampi din sila pag sinesermunan ko na sa buhay. Haha.

Pwero biro, masaya ako na na-e-enjoy nila ang buhay kabataan. Minsan lang yan, eh. Minsan lang magpa-cute, magpaka wholesome, mag-inartz, magpaka jejemon, gumala ng walang pera, tumawa ng bonggang bongga….

Naisip ko, saan nga ba napunta ang kabataan ko? Haha. Sobra kasing na-advance buhay ko kaya parang di ko ata masyadong nasulit yung buhay ko nung mga panahon na yun. KJ din ako at higit sa lahat sobrang nega (thank God, nabawasan na siya ngayon). Eh kasi naman etong si Mama, panay sabi ng ganito ganyan ayan.. para tuloy akong nakawala sa koral haha!

Sa tuwing inaalala ko yung buhay ko dati, natatawa ako! What the hell kasi! Kung anu-ano na pala naranasan ko na di naman dapat maranasan ng isang teenager. Sheeeeet! Lost na lost kasi ako! Mabuti na lang, unti-unti ko ng nakikilala ang sarili ko *dapat talaga sumali ako sa PBB. Next time nga mag-o-audition ako*.

Kaya nga ipinagpapasalamat kong mas pinipili ng sarili kong maging single kasya maging forever lost! Naks! Kung makapili, as if may choice! bwahahaha

At dahil di ko nafeel yun nafeel noon, aba’y ibabalik ko yun ngayon. Akala niyo ha, habang may buhay may pag-asa! :))

12 Most Unforgivable Writing Mistakes:

These are the ones that can ruin your credibility as a writer and a blogger.

1. Fewer vs. less

Unforgivable: There are less days in February than in March.
Correct: There are fewer days in February than in March.

Use fewer when referring to things that can be counted — for example, “She ate fewer cupcakes tonight than she did last night.” Use less when referring to amounts that cannot be counted, or volumes: “The cupcakes had less frosting yesterday.”

2. Affect vs. effect

Unforgivable: Our services will have a positive affect on your business.
Correct: Our services will have a positive effect on your business.

While affect and effect can be both be used as a noun and a verb, the rule of thumb for common usage is affect as a verb and effect as a noun. In the example above, the effect is the result of the services. In the sentence, “Our services can affect how customers see your business,” affect is to produce an effect upon, or to influence.

3. Pronoun/antecedent disagreement

Unforgivable: If you hire a professional copywriter, make sure they know how to write.
Correct: If you hire a professional copywriter, make sure she knows how to write.

In the above sentences, copywriter is singular. So the pronoun should be singular, as well. Many people avoid gender-specific pronouns, but all too often, that just leads to bad grammar. The correct choices including using “he or she,” picking either he or she and sticking to that gender throughout the copy, or using a plural antecedent (which is the noun to which the pronoun refers): “When hiring copywriters, make sure they know how to write.”

4. Misspellings

Unforgivable: Are you on Goggle+?
Correct: Are you on Google+?

Be sure to proofread your work. Misspelling the name of a company, a website or a person is a sign of sheer laziness.

5. It’s vs. its

Unforgivable: The pizza became famous for it’s unique flavors and toppings.
Correct: The pizza became famous for its unique flavors and toppings.

This is a common mistake because technically, it’s follows the rule of using an apostrophe to convey possessives (for example, the pizza’s flavor). But an apostrophe is only used for the contraction of it is or it has: “It’s the best pizza ever!”

6. Misuse of the semicolon

Unforgivable: I love to write; but I hate using semicolons.
Correct: I love to write; I hate using semicolons.

Semicolons can get confusing, so rather than make an unforgivable mistake, I tend to avoid them whenever possible. Use a semicolon to connect two related independent clauses without a conjunction, or within a complex series: “I’ve lived in Waukegan, Ill.; Alameda, Calif.; and Bartlett, Tenn.” Do not use a semicolon with a conjunction (and, but, for, or, so, nor, yet).

7. Alot vs. a lot

Unforgivable: Alot of people make this mistake.
Correct: A lot of people make this mistake.

Alot is not a word!

8. Inconsistency

Unforgivable: His favorite colors are red, blue and green. My favorite colors are yellow, purple, and pink.
Correct: His favorite colors are red, blue and green. My favorite colors are yellow, purple and pink.

All four of the above sentences are actually right, but the top two are inconsistent because the second sentence uses the Oxford comma and the first does not. Don’t use the Oxford comma in one sentence and leave it out the next. Don’t spell out ten in the first paragraph and write 10 in the last. Writing rules change depending on what style of writing you follow (Chicago Manual or Associated Press), but whatever style you use, be consistent throughout your copy.

9. Poorly cited stats and quotes

Unforgivable: Women make up 97 percent of Pinterest users.
Correct: According to AppData, women make up 97 percent of Pinterest users.

Back up statistics and quotes by letting your readers know where you got the information. If you can, provide a link back to the exact Web page where you found the data. Failure to prove where you got your facts will just make your content weaker.

10. Then vs. than

Unforgivable: I enjoy sitting much better then running.
Correct: I enjoy sitting much better than running.

Than is used for comparisons, while then is used to refer to a point in time or “in addition to.” For example: “Back then, I was strong enough to run a marathon. Now, my body and health are different than they used to be.”

11. Lose vs. Loose

Unforgivable: If you loose your keys again, I’m not letting you in.
Correct: If you lose your keys again, I’m not letting you in.

Lose is a verb, and loose is most commonly used as an adjective. Use loose when referring to something that doesn’t fit or isn’t secure, such as loose pants or loose attachments. Loose can also be used as a verb — for example, “loose a knot” — but in these cases, loosen is a more common word.

12. Stolen content

Unforgivable: Always.
Correct: Never.

This one isn’t really a mistake, but rather just plain wrong. Never steal and use content that isn’t yours and play it off as your own work. Not only is that theft — it’s copyright infringement. Write original, informative content, and always proofread your work.

First quarter

Sick. Wasted. Forever alone-feeling. Sad. Hopeless. Worried. Wants change. Surpassed. Grateful. Has discovered something new… These are the best words to describe the first quarter of my 2012. Poor me! Booo! But hey, that’s the f*cking truth.

I spent the first day of the day year on my bed lying because my whole body hurts. Filipinos have a belief that whatever you did on the first day of the year will tell you what would be your life through out the year. I didn’t mind it much. With full hope, i knew 2012 would be better than 2011. Unfortunately, i begun to realized that the belief is coming true… It was January 3 when i got admitted in the hospital because of an allergy. Tsk! There was a time i got so worried with my health condition and knowing the root cause of the allergy makes me even sicker. Damn! But on the bright side, i realized that maybe i’m too busy making things complicated when in reality, it should not! I admit I don’t have better time-management skills. I just do and do and do anything they asked me to do. I also admit, sometimes, nauuna pa ang pakikipagtsismisan bago ang trabaho. But sometimes, it’s my channel to get rid of all the issues in my life. If I’m busy then I don’t need to worry much of the things I don’t have. I want to have an occupied mind to escape from all my troubles.

I’ve been sicked for almost two months. Akala ko, pagkaconfine ko, after a week back to normal na. Kaya lang matagalang healing process pala ng allergy yung tumama sa akin. There was a time when i felt really sad and i really hate my self. Hindi ko nga alam kung nabubwisit na yung mga tao sa paligid ko. Mas madalas gusto kong mapag-isa and i always cry. I kept everything to myself. Besides telling all your burdens to someone will not ease the pain. :))

February. Malungkot din ako nung buwan na to but not because of Valentines issue. Oh yes.. a little bit. hihihi Natuwa nga ko nun Valentines day kasi ibang -iba talaga yung feeling ko that day from the previous years. Or better said, “I get used to it na walang date every Valentines for _ years kaya di na ako masyadong nalulungkot”. Mas na-touched pa ako sa sinabi ni Mama nun nagpabili siya ng Ice Cream that day. “Blow-out ko yan ngayong Valentines ha! Mag-enjoy tayo, baka kasi next year di na natin kasama ate niyo dahil may date na siya.” Aww… :)

Here’s March… this month reminds me of studying. I was forced to study again every night for CTFL exam. My aim is to scored 40. That’s why I studied almost every night. Memorized each page and chapter kaya lang pag na-distract talaga ako. Wala na! :( Pasaway kasi tong health ko.. anyway, na-gain ko naman yung momentum ko to study but too late na. Honestly, i felt bad with my score. I prayed to scored 40 but if God did not permits so, i wanted to have a score between 35-39 kaya lang…. haaay.. may 9 talaga akong unsure and kahit anong gawin ko di ko na talaga alam yung answer. That is why di ako masyadong masaya sa score ko haha. Alam ko namang papasa ako (yabang) pero oki na rin kasi 9 yung unsure ko but hey.. nagbigay ng 2 bonus points Siya. :)

I may have a not so good start yet I had a big smile on my face while ending the first quarter of the year. 1 quarter, down. There are still 3 more…. looking forward to a better. happier and maybe *fill in the blanks* months?? :D
